LANCASTER, PA - The men's volleyball team polished off Lancaster Bible College in three sets Thursday evening, blowing past the Chargers by scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.
The host group - still in search of their first win of the year - were hit hard by a proficient PBU attack that saw the visitors gain a 43-21 edge in total kills by the time all was said and done. The Chargers were shackled into a .056 hitting percentage as the group was hindered by a woeful 39.1 sideout percentage for the contest.
For the first time this season, the Crimson Eagles were flawless on the defensive end, avoiding any return errors throughout all three stanzas. PBU put up a blistering .357 attack percentage during the opening frame before cooling off some during sets two and three.
"We stuck to our game plan of serving and passing well and the results followed," noted head coach Jade Brubaker after the win. "The entire team played well, making the most of their opportunities."
Josh Tuttle finished the night with a game high 12 kills wile Noah Prickett added 10. Bill Lukacs added 13 digs and Jeff Stuaffer put up 10.
The Crimson Eagles move to 8-2 for the season while LBC slips to 0-10.
PBU will take a break from conference play on Saturday during a date with Springfield College in Massachusetts at 7:00 pm.
