ELMIRA, NY - The men's volleyball team defeated Elmira College 3-0 Saturday morning but couldn't duplicate their early success, falling to Nazareth College in the nightcap, 3-2.
The Crimson Eagles took down the Soaring Eagles by scores of 25-23, 25-22, 25-19 during a game that saw Drew Dillon compile 36 assists and Justin Brubaker 16 kills and five total blocks. Noah Prickett chipped in with eight kills and eight digs in the win and Josh Tuttle added seven spikes and four aces.
Playing the third ranked team in the country in Nazareth College later in the afternoon, the Crimson Eagles were unable to pull out the upset, falling by scores of 25-17, 19-25, 16-25, 25-23, 15-10. Dillon posted 42 assists and six digs and Brubaker added 21 kills and nine stops defensively. Jeff Stauffer managed 13 digs in the loss.
The Crimson Eagles will get back onto the court on Tuesday against Kean University at 7:00 pm on the road.
