LANGHORNE, PA - During a match featuring two teams on somewhat opposite sides of the spectrum, the Crimson Eagles waltzed past SUNY-IT late Monday evening, pounding the visitors 30-16, 30-20, 30-21.
The Wildcats, who continue a quest for their first win of the season, were held to just 26 kills for the evening on a -.01 hitting percentage - marking PBU's third best defensive performance of the year.
Utilizing a spread out attack, PBU finished with eight different players recording three or more kills for the night and saw all 11 athletes chart at least one dig in the statsheet.
The 3-0 sweep marks the 10th time this season the Crimson Eagles have managed to shut out the opposition. After beginning the season just 2-5, Monday's tilt also gives PBU their seventh consecutive victory, pulling the team's overall record to 15-8.
Sophomore Andrew Dittman paced the host squad with six kills on a .667 hitting percentage and senior Jeremy Keating added five spikes and a team high count of nine digs.
PBU will return to action on Wednesday for a rare double-header against CUNY-York. Game times against the Cardinals are 4:00 and 6:00 pm.
