LANGHORNE, PA
- Anytime a team has a 10-day layaway from match action, there's the potential to come out somewhat flat.

Not true for PBU Thursday night.

After taking a week and a half off from competition, the Crimson Eagles quickly returned to old form, rolling on the road in the form of a 3-0 drubbing over host City College of New York.

PBU jumped out early and never looked back, pounding the Beavers in the first game 30-9 behind a collective hitting percentage of .560. Although sets two and three didn't produce the same type of statistical dominance with starters on the pine, the Crimson Eagles pulled out victories during the back end of action by scores of 30-22 and 30-21.

The visitors blistered CCNY's defensive line with eight service aces on the night and held a 38-23 edge in kills for the evening. Eleven of 12 Crimson Eagle players notched at least one kill while limiting the Beavers to a .022 attack percentage throughout action.

Rookie Philip Nix spearheaded the offensive charge finishing with a career high six kills for the match. Classmate Jeff Stauffer added nine digs and five kills.

With their 10 day break behind them, the Crimson Eagles will play a grueling stretch over the ensuing five days, playing in five matches during that span. PBU will host #15-ranked SUNY New Paltz in the Mason activity Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
