PBU turns tables on visiting Ramapo

Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA - It's amazing how quickly roles can be reversed in the great world of athletics.

Less than two months ago Ramapo College held the upper hand on the men's volleyball team, routing the Crimson Eagles 3-0 in a somewhat one-sided contest that saw the Roadrunners blitz PBU with a .319 hitting percentage for the match.

Not true on Wednesday.

Instead, PBU turned the fortunes in their most recent matchup, dishing Ramapo just their second shutout loss of the season and their sixth defeat overall. PBU trumped the visiting Roadrunners by scores of 30-28, 30-27, 30-19.

Playing a ranked foe for the fifteenth time this season, the ninth ranked Crimson Eagles upended seventh ranked Ramapo behind a collective hitting percentage of .270, including a .414 mark during the final set.

On senior night, fourth-year outside hitter Ben Fuller recorded eight kills and five digs in his final contest in the Mason Activity Center. Justin Brubaker added sixteen kills and four block assists and Leo Deuck added 14 kills and 12 digs. Andrew Dittman added nine kills on a .615 hitting percentage and Drew Dillon posted 44 assists.

The Crimson Eagles will turn their focus to postseason action, competing in the upcoming NECVA Western Division tournament this weekend at Nazareth College. PBU will open up play against D'Youville College this Friday at 7:00 pm.
