Box Score

LANGHORNE, PA
- Playing a nationally ranked opponent for the fifth time in their last five outings, the men's volleyball team surrendered a 3-0 sweep to Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday, falling to the Ducks by scores of 30-28, 30-22, 30-27.

Returning their full roster from a year ago, Stevens is coming off a 2008 campaign that saw the Ducks reach the quarterfinals of the NECVA Championship. Led by two-time AVCA All-American Andrew Cranford - who currently leads the country in hitting percentage - Stevens rolled to their eighth triumph of the season.

Led by Cranford's unreal .842 hitting percentage on the night, the Ducks pounded PBU's defensive unit, connecting at a .373 clip as a team. Despite 51 team kills - including 25 from sophomore Justin Brubaker - the Crimson Eagles were comparitively limited to a .179 hitting percentage throughout the evening. Stevens' also managed a distinct 14.5 to 4 edge in total blocks.

Leandro Dueck added 14 kills and nine digs in PBU's second consecutive loss and senior Ben Fuller chipped in with eight kills and seven digs.

The Crimson Eagles will have minimal time to recouperate as the squad will host longtime rival Lancaster Bible College tomorrow night in the Mason Activity Center at 7:00 pm.
