Double-OT Goal Lifts PBU in 2-1 Win

It took two full overtime periods to determine a winner in Thursday's contest with Albright College as the Crimson Eagles snuck away with a 2-1 win.

LANGHORNE, PA - Apparently the Crimson Eagles decided they weren't about to go down without a fight Thursday afternoon in Langhorne.

Determined not to allow Albright College to serve as a spoiler on PBU’s senior night, the host squad managed a late game goal to force the contest into additional minutes to decide the outcome.

Erica Yordy’s golden-goal seven minutes into the second overtime sealed the deal for the Crimson Eagles, giving the team three wins in their last four outings to conclude the season.

Senior Erin Rohrer also scored once for PBU in her final collegiate contest. Junior keeper Lauren Roth came up huge for the host squad on the back line, registering 17 crucial saves to help keep the Crimson Eagles in the match.

The Crimson Eagles conclude the year with a 6-13 overall record.
