LANGHORNE, PA – Men's Soccer opened the weekend's action at home, hosting Lebanon Valley College where the Highlanders fell 3-1 despite their best efforts.
The Dutchmen were the first to score at the 26-minute mark and again at the end of the first half (41') to assert a 2-0 lead. Out of the break, junior midfielder
Braden Allen (Dillsburg, PA / Heritage Christian) score Cairn's (0-3-2) lone goal, assisted by freshman defender
Akiel Warfield (Brandywine, MD / Gwynn Park). The Highlanders' glimmer of hope was short lived as Lebanon Valley (3-1-1) answered right back in the 47
th minute. Despite outshooting the Dutchmen 9-6 in the second half, Lebanon Valley came out on top, 3-1.
Allen netted his second goal of the season while Warfield recorded his first collegiate assist.
The Highlanders will head back on the road, taking on Centenary on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
