TRENTON, NJ – Cairn Men's Cross Country opened the season competing in the Blue & Gold Invitational, hosted by TCNJ, on Friday, placing fifth as a team with a pair of personal bests set.
In the Men's 5K, senior
Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chalepgate Christian Academy) was the first to cross for the Highlanders at 18:25.9, a personal best for the distance, followed shortly behind by junior
Derek Tewksbury (Portland, CT / Portland) at 19:46.8. Freshman
Noah Teshome (New Hope, PA / New Hope Solebury) was next at 20:07.3 with fifth year
Jeremy Golden (Lancaster, PA / Clarks Summit University) setting a new best clocking in at 21:14.8. Junior
Levi Mix (Montgomery, TX / West Orange-Stark) and freshman
James Brock (High Bridge, NJ / Vorhees) placed right behind Golden to round out the field for the Highlanders.
Cairn placed fifth as a team.
The Highlanders race next on September 12 at the United East Preview Meet hosted by Penn St. Brandywine.
