MXC: Tewksbury Leads Highlanders in United East Championship

MEDIA, PA – Men's Cross Country competed in the United East Championship meet, hosted by Penn St. Brandywine on Saturday, finishing 8th as a team.
 
Junior Derek Tewksbury (Portland, CT / Portland) took his turn leading the pack for Cairn, finishing as the Highlanders' fastest runner at 31:02.5 in 17th overall. Freshman Noah Teshome followed in 22nd at 31:43.9 with senior Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chapelgate Christian Academy) not far behind in 24th in 31:49.5. Fifth year Jeremy Golden (Lancaster, PA / Clarks Summit University) was next in 46th at 36:22.4 followed by Luke Capacarra (39:26.3), freshman James Brock (41:48.3) and senior Daniel Stange (42:54.8) and Josh Adler (42:55.1) rounding out the Cairn field.
 
Cairn finished eighth as a team with Brock picking up a new personal best.
 
The Highlanders will compete at the NCAA Regional Meet on November 15 hosted by Rowan University.
