MXC: Border Battle Yields Four Personal Bests

LOGAN TWP., NJ – Cairn Cross Country ran in their final regular season race on Saturday, competing in the Border Battle hosted by Rowan University.
 
Senior Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chapelgate Christian Academy) led the pack of Highlanders, placing 93rd in 29:47.7. Junior Derek Tewksbury (Portland, CT / Portland) and freshman Noah Teshome (New Hope, PA / New Hope Solebury) both set personal bests at 30:15.2 and 31:24.6, respectively. Graduate Jeremy Golden (Lancaster, PA / Clarks Summit University) was next, crossing in 34:51.9 followed by junior Levi Mix (Montgomery, TX / West Orange-Stark) in 37:18.3 (personal best) and freshman James Brock (High Bridge, NJ / Vorhees) in 42:24.5 (personal best).
 
The Highlanders had a 17th  place team finish out of a field of 27.
 
Cairn XC will compete next on November 1 at the United East Championship, hosted by Penn St. Brandywine.
