LATHAM, NY - The United East has announced its 2025 Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams and Major Award winners on Wednesday. Cairn Lacrosse collected a pair of All-Conference selections. The two All-Conference teams are made up of three attack, three midfield, three defense, a short-stick midfielder, face-off specialist, and goalkeeper, in addition to at-large bids. A Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Coach of the Year has also been awarded.
Senior goalkeeper
Nico Cione (Yardley, PA / Pennsbury) notches his third-straight All-Conference nod, finishing at 832 saves and setting the bar as the program record (11th on the active career leaders list) while averaging 16.64 saves per game over four years (3rd on the active career leaders list). This season, Cione led the league in saves per game (20.42), averaging more than twice the amount of saves of any other goalkeeper in the conference as he collected 245 saves this season, the most in his career. He set a new career high of 35 saves against St. Mary's this season, tied for the most in a single Division III game this season, earning him First Team All-Conference honors.
Junior attackman
Cole Heffler (Eldersburg, MD / Central Maryland Christian) earns his first appearance on an All-Conference team, finishing the year across the 100 career points mark, the second player in program history to do so, as he scored 19 goals with 10 assists in eleven games, leading the team in all offensive categories except shots. Heffler averages the sixth most goals per game (1.73) among conference players this season while remaining a top-5 scorer in conference play with eight goals.
