LANGHORNE, PA – On Wednesday, former Highlander soccer student-athletes Meghan Wilson and Brett Kikendall were formally inducted into the Cairn Athletics Hall of Honor, the formal ceremony taking place ahead of Cairn Men's & Women's Soccer hosting Penn St. Harrisburg.

Meghan Wilson (Women's Soccer, 2014-2016)

Meghan Wilson, a dynamic offensive leader for the Highlanders, left an undeniable mark on Cairn University Women's Soccer during her three seasons of play. Despite facing injuries that shortened her time on the field, Wilson's impact was immediate and lasting.wsoc 10-27-15 main

In 2016, her senior year, Wilson appeared in 14 games and led the Highlanders' offense with 12 goals and three assists, recording six consecutive games with at least one goal between September 29 and October 15. She led the team in nearly every major statistical category, goals (12), points (27), shots (73), shots on goal (40), game-winners (3), and points per game (1.93), earning Second Team All-Conference honors.

Her junior campaign was even more impressive. Starting all 17 games, Wilson tallied 18 goals and six assists for 42 points, including a hat trick against The City College of New York and a streak of nine consecutive games with at least one goal. She led the conference in total points and was tied for the lead in goals scored, ultimately being named First Team All-Conference.

Wilson's career at Cairn began explosively in 2014, when she recorded a hat trick in her debut game against Valley Forge before a season-ending injury.

Off the field, Meghan was deeply involved in service work through THRIVE, a weekly after-school program in Kensington, Philadelphia. Through THRIVE, she and other Cairn students mentored and supported 20–40 elementary and middle school students each week with snacks, homework help, and enrichment activities.

Following graduation, Wilson continued her passion for soccer and ministry. She worked as a youth soccer coach and trainer with MAX Futbol before transitioning to Missionary Athletes International (MAI Soccer), where she now serves as part of the Youth Programs team in the Philadelphia region. Her mission focuses on training and discipling youth coaches and players, helping them grow in both soccer and their faith in Christ.

Reflecting on her induction into the Hall of Honor, Wilson expressed deep gratitude and humility, acknowledging the challenges of her college career and the people who helped her overcome them:  "I felt both humbled and surprised when I learned that I would be inducted into the Hall of Honor. My experience playing soccer at Cairn University didn't go as planned, but I'm truly grateful that God placed great teammates and coaches in my life who supported me during those tough times and motivated me to come back stronger."

Brett Kikendall (Men's Soccer, 2016–2019)

Brett Kikendall stands among the most decorated players in Cairn University Men's Soccer history. Over his four seasons with the Highlanders, he became known for his leadership, consistency, and technical skill that helped elevate the program to new heights.

msoc_10-29-16-3During his career, Kikendall was named to All-Conference teams four times: Honorable Mention in 2016, Second Team in 2017, and First Team selections in both 2018 and 2019. His contributions were instrumental in guiding Cairn to several program milestones, including the team's first-ever Conference postseason appearance (2017), first Conference regular season title (2018), and a Conference All-Academic Team award (2017).

Statistically, Kikendall recorded 69 total points across his career and was recognized as the Cairn Men's Soccer MVP of the Decade (2010–2020) as well as a member of the program's All-Decade First Team.

Off the field, Brett and his wife run a successful videography company, which they have operated for five years. They are active members of the Church of Living Hope, where Brett contributes his creative talents to church video projects and media work. Brett Kikendall HoH

Upon being named to the Hall of Honor, Kikendall shared his appreciation for the recognition, reflecting on the people and moments that defined his experience:
"It's an incredible honor and I'm very grateful to be recognized amongst such an esteemed group of individuals. This recognition is not only a reflection of my personal journey, but also of the support and inspiration from those who have been alongside me. Most of all, I'm thankful to have shared many challenges, laughs, and memories with my teammates and coaches during my four seasons."

The Cairn University Athletics Hall of Honor was established in 1982 to provide a lasting memorial bringing recognition and honor to former student-athletes, coaches, staff members, teams and those who have brought distinction to Cairn University Athletics. Inductees are commemorated for their outstanding contributions to Highlander Athletics as well as their character during competition and in the fulfillment of Cairn University's mission, to educate students to serve Christ in the church, society, and the world as biblically minded, well-educated, and professionally competent men and women of character. The Hall of Honor was updated in 2025 with a digitized display of Hall of Honor inductees and information along with a revamp of the list of members. Thanks to Athletic Department and Advancement support, the Hall of Honor display is equipped to last through the next generation of Cairn Highlander student-athletes.
