HACKETTSTOWN, NJ – The Cairn Women's Soccer team fell to the Cyclones of Centenary University on Saturday morning to move to 0-1-1 on the young season.
 
Centenary (1-2) opened the match with a goal less than two minutes in to go ahead 1-0. The Cyclones followed up at the end of the first half with two more (32' and 43') to close the initial frame up 3-0. Cairn (0-1-1) managed four shots in the half.
 
In the second half, the Cyclones were fouled in the box in the 62nd minute, awarding them a penalty kick which they netted to add to their lead. The Highlanders had an open look at goal from freshman Juliana Condurso (Brick, NJ / Calvary Academy) but couldn't find the back of the net. Condurso had the final shot of the day for Cairn in the 83^rd minute as it was saved to seal the win for Centenary.
 
Cairn Women's Soccer will be hosted by Delaware Valley University on Wednesday for a rematch of last year's match, kicking off at 7 p.m.
