DOYLESTOWN, PA – The Cairn University Women's Soccer team made the short trip up to Delaware Valley University on Wednesday night, falling to the Aggies 3-1.
Delaware Valley (1-3) took the lead just a minute into the game on their first shot of the game. The Aggies followed up with another in the twelfth minute to go ahead 2-0 and win the half. DelVal outshot the Highlanders 12-3 in the frame.
In the second half, the Aggies added a third goal in the 70
th minute before junior forward
Cameron Cook (Morrisville, PA / Millersville University) got the highlanders on the board in the 84
th minute. Cairn (0-2-1) was able to get off two looks at goal in the closing minutes as time ran out.
Cook had the only score for the Highlanders with the team firing six shots on goal for the match.
The Highlanders look to pick up their first win against Wilson College on Saturday evening at home in a rematch of last season's divisional semifinal game.
