LANGHORNE, PA - Cairn University Athletics has named Amie Eppolito '16 as the next Head Coach of the Cairn Women's Basketball program as well as an Assistant Athletic Director. 
 
Eppollito returns to Langhorne after serving as an Assistant Coach for the Highlanders from 2016-2020 and then at Calvary Christian Academy (PA) from 2020-2022. Amie is a graduate of Cairn, earning her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education in 2016, with a minor in Special Education, and Master's degree in Education in 2018. She is also a graduate of Pennsbury High School.

As a player, Eppolito started every game for four years, was a 1,000 point scorer, and captained the team for three seasons. She was also a two-time All-Conference selection.  

Eppolito will also serve as an Assistant Athletic Director on Cairn's Athletic Department Staff, overseeing Internal Operations for the Department and the Highlanders' 13 varsity programs. 
 
Cairn University Director of Athletics David Babb commented, "We are excited to have Amie join our athletic department staff as an Assistant Athletic Director and Head Women's Basketball Coach.  Amie's experience as a player, assistant coach and that of mentoring young women will serve her well in this role! "
 
Eppolito looks to continue the recent success of the Cairn Women's Basketball program after a postseason berth and playoff win in 2024 along with their first 10-win season in conference play in almost ten years.
