MLAX: Highlanders Open March in Duel with Neumann

ASTON, PA – The Cairn Men's Lacrosse team lost their non-conference matchup on the road with Neumann on Saturday afternoon, 25-3.
 
NOTABLES:
  • Sophomore attacker Cole Heffler (Eldersburg, MD / Central Maryland Christian) had two goals on three shots and an assist on the afternoon for three points, the latter of which was assisted by sophomore midfielder Ryan Gallagher (Mount Airy, MD / South Carroll).
  • Junior attacker Jason Briant (Lake Hiawatha, NJ / Morris Catholic) added a goal, assisted by Heffler.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Neumann (4-1) began peppering the goal in the first quarter, scoring seven goals before Cairn (0-3) got on the board in the closing seconds via Briant assisted by Heffler.
  • The Knights continued in the second and third, scoring 14 goals before Heffler answered midway through the third quarter with the score now 21-2.
  • Neumann added four more followed by Heffler striking again with two minutes to play, assisted by Gallagher as the Knights took the game, 25-3.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE:
  • The Highlanders will look to rebound against Gordon College who makes the trip south the face Cairn at Delaware County Christian School on Wednesday at 12 p.m. Cairn will be the visitor in this neutral site matchup.
