LANGHORNE, PA - The Cairn University Women's Soccer team opened up United East Conference play taking on Skye Division foe, Cedar Crest College, on Tuesday afternoon, forcing a 1-1 draw with the Falcons.

The first half action was led by Cairn (1-3-2 / 0-0-1 United East Skye Division) taking two shots to Cedar Crest's (0-3-2 / 0-0-1 United East Skye Division) one as the half closed 0-0. Things were more back-and-forth as the second frame got underway. Cedar Crest and Cairn both looked to score on early shots. The Highlanders got the ball into the box on multiple occasions but could not find an open look to the back of the net. Senior midfielder Teresa Lee (Jackson, NJ / Calvary Academy) looked for the game-winner on two shots in the closing minutes as the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Cairn held the advantage over Cedar Crest in shots, 10-5, and shots on goal 4-3. Lee and senior midfielder Becca Marzinke (Quakertown, PA / Upper Bucks Christian) led in shooting for the Highlanders, taking three shots each. Sophomore forward Cameron Cook (Morrisville, PA / Millersville University) followed with two shots, both on goal. 

Cairn Women's Soccer takes on Clarks Summit University on Saturday as part of the full slate of Homecoming action. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
