ROSEMONT, PA – The Cairn Men's Soccer team traveled to Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon to take on the Ravens in United East Skye Division play, forcing the draw in the closing seconds, 1-1.
Rosemont (6-4-1 / 3-0-1 United East Skye Division) was the first on the scoreboard, going ahead 1-0 only 18 minutes into the match. Junior midfielder

Brock Burres (Wanaque, NJ / Hawthorne Christian Academy) would get off two open looks at goal as both were saved, closing the half down 1-0. The second half would be all quiet for scoring as Cairn and Rosemont traded shots. With the final whistle approaching, Cairn would be awarded a free kick outside the box with mere seconds remaining. Beers would take the free kick, deflecting it off of a Rosemont defender to force the draw, 1-1.
Rosemont held the slight edge in shots, 15-14, while Cairn would hold the advantage in shots on goa, 8-4. Beers led the Highlanders in shots with 6, followed by junior midfielder
