LANGHORNE, PA – The Cairn University Women's Soccer team hosted Bryn Athyn College who came to Langhorne Wednesday night, outpacing the Highlanders 4-1.
Bryn Athyn (9-2-1 / 6-0-1 United East Skye Division) took the lead only two minutes into the game followed by a second goal at the 19-minute mark to go up 2-0 early. Cairn (4-5-3 / 3-4-2 United East Skye Division) would fire off three shots in response as the half closed 2-0. The Lions continued their scoring in the 49
th and 55
th minutes, pushing the lead to 4-0. Senior midfielder
Micaela Prate (Huntingdon Valley, PA / Calvary Christian Academy) had the lone answer in the in the 56
th minute, assisted by senior midfielder
Em Kuansongtham (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School). The Lions would hold the Highlanders without a shot for the remainder of the half as Cairn fell 4-1.
Prate had the lone goal for the Cairn squad on a single shot as they were outshot 23-6. Kuansongtham had the assist. Senior midfielder
Teresa Lee (Jackson, NJ / Calvary Academy) had 3 shots while freshman midfielder
Paige Noble (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ / Atlantic Christian School) took two shots.
The Cairn Women's Soccer team closes out conference play on the road with upcoming matches against Saint Elizabeth on Saturday at 12 p.m. and Keystone on Tuesday night.
