LANGHORNE, Pa. – The Cairn University women's soccer team lost, 5-1, against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Bryn Athyn College at home in a rematch of last year's conference championship game on Wednesday evening.
Bryn Athyn (5-1-1, 1-0 CSAC) proved its status as the reigning conference champions early, striking first with a goal in the 39
th minute to take a 1-0 lead. Just one minute later, the Lions added a second tally to take a 2-0 advantage into intermission. Cairn (5-4-1, 1-1 CSAC) cut the deficit to just one after drawing a foul inside the box. Junior
Teresa Lee (Jackson, NJ / Calvary Academy) buried the ensuing penalty kick to make the score 2-1 in favor of the Lions. Bryn Athyn would not be denied in this contest, however, scoring three second half goals to cap off the 5-1 triumph.

Isabelle Lazor (Midland Park, NJ / Eastern Christian) collected a career-high 17 saves between the pipes in a complete game effort.
The Highlanders will be back on the pitch on Saturday, October 1 when they hit the road in conference play to take on Rosemont College at 6 p.m.
