Cross Country: Highlanders Continue 2022 Season at LVC Dutchmen Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. – The Cairn University women's and men's cross-country teams were back in action on Saturday morning at the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen Invitational meet in Lebanon, Pa. As a team, the women finished in 17th place out of 23 programs while the men earned a 21st-place finish out of 23 teams.
 
For the women, freshman AyliGrace Munro (Bar Harbor, ME / Mount Desert Island HS) continued her dominant performance from the season opener, posting a top-30 mark in 29th overall out of the field of 190 runners with a time of 20:13.5. Senior Isabella Palladino (Langhorne, PA / Homeschooled) and junior Jordan Harvey (Chichester, PA / The Christian Academy) followed with times of 27:35.2 and 27:55.7, respectively, placing 155th and 158th. Senior Madeline Chase (Apalachin, NY / Ross Corners Christian Academy) and junior Amanda Schlabach (Greenwood, DE / Greenwood Mennonite) rounded out the top five Cairn finishers with times of 29:17.9 and 29:18.4, placing 165th and 166th, respectively. Junior Amber Farrell (Philadelphia, PA / Franklin Towne Charter) rounded out the day for the Highlanders with a time of 33:31.3 to place 176th.
 
The men were led again by freshman Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chapelgate Christian Academy), finishing 144th in the 216-runner field with a time of 31:23.7. Sophomore Nicholas Palladino (Langhorne, PA / Homeshooled) finished second among the Highlanders with a time of 34:28.6. Junior Isaiah Castellucci (Gloucester, MA / Landmark HS) followed close behind, clocking in at 34:57. Senior Tim Colgan (Port Jervis, NY / Homeschooled) and junior Joseph Keeports (York, PA / Central York HS) rounded out the top-five for Cairn, finishing with times of 35:28.3 and 35:38.6.
 
The women's and men's cross-county teams travel to Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, September 17 to compete in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Preview Meet. The women begin the course at 10 a.m. followed shortly after by the men at 11 a.m.
