PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Cairn University women's and men's cross country teams continued their respective 2022 campaigns at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Race in the city on Saturday afternoon.
The women placed eighth out of 12 teams, while the men earned 14
th place finish out of 16 programs.
The women were led by freshman
AyliGrace Munro (Bar Harbor, ME / Mount Desert Island HS) who collected another top-ten finish in the 110-runner field after clocking in with a 6K time of 25:50. Senior
Isabella Palladino (Langhorne, PA / Homeschooled) placed next for Cairn, slating 56
th with a time of 32:27. Junior
Jordan Harvey (Chichester, PA / The Christian Academy) finished next for the Highlanders in 65
th place with a time of 33:38. Junior
Amanda Schlabach (Greenwood, DE / Greenwood Mennonite) placed 69
th with a time of 34:11, and classmate
Amber Farrell (Philadelphia, PA / Franklin Towne Charter) rounded out the day for Cairn with a mark of 44:35, good enough for 85
th place.
The men were paced by freshman
Titus Dingle (Catonsville, MD / Chapelgate Christian Academy) who posted an 8K time of 32:57 to finish 53
rd in the 137-runner field. Sophomore
Nicholas Palladino (Langhorne, PA / Homeschooled) placed next for Cairn in the 81
st position with a time of 35:27, while junior
Joseph Keeports (York, PA / Central York HS) earned an 85
th place time of 36:06. Classmate
Isaiah Castellucci (Gloucester, MA / Landmark HS) crossed the finish line right behind Keeports in 86
th place with a time of 36:24, while senior
Tim Colgan (Port Jervis, NY / Homeschooled) rounded out the day for Cairn in 93
rd place with a mark of 38:36.
The women's and men's cross country teams will now prepare for their biggest meet of the season, when their campaigns culminate at the Colonial States Athletic Conference Championship (CSAC) meet hosted by Bryn Athyn College on Saturday, October 29. The women start at 11 a.m. while the men are out of the starting gate at noon.
