Cairn outshot Penn State Mont Alto (23-5) and led in shots on goal (8-3). The Highlanders also bested the Nittany Lions in corner kicks (5-1). Lazor hauled in two saves between the pipes and collected the second shutout of her young career.
The Highlanders will be back on the pitch on Wednesday, September 22 when they hit the road for an away, non-conference contest at Gwynedd Mercy University. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.
