BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The No. 4 seed Cairn University women's soccer team (11-7-1) will compete in its second-consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship game on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. at No. 3 seed Bryn Athyn College (11-3-2).
THE SERIES:
Cairn holds a 4-1-1 record all-time record over Bryn Athyn since the team's first met in 2016, including three straight Highlander victories from 2018 to 2019. In their last meeting earlier this season, Cairn scored two-consecutive goals on the road in the final ten minutes to battle to a 3-3 double overtime draw with the Lions. Bryn Athyn's lone victory over the Highlanders came in 2017, an 8-0 triumph over Cairn at home.
TRENDS:
The Highlanders have won four-straight games and are coming off a 1-0 victory on the road over No. 1 seed Cedar Crest College on Wednesday in the CSAC semifinals. Bryn Athyn rides a seven-game winning streak into tonight's contest, with their last loss coming at home against Wilson earlier this season. The Lions defeated the No. 2 seed Phoenix in the CSAC semifinals to advance to the title game. Despite earning home field advantage for tonight's contest, all three of the Lions losses and two ties have come at home this season. Cairn holds a 4-4-1 record in road matches this season.
