Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Carrier Catches Fire as Highlanders Celebrate Senior Day

LANGHORNE, PA- On a joyous day in Langhorne, the Highlanders handily defeated Wilson to cement their status as the CSAC's #2 overall seed in the upcoming playoffs.

Prior to the game's start, the Highlanders celebrated the careers of their 6 standout seniors. These seniors have completely changed the Cairn Men's Basketball program in their time on campus. The group of Julian Collazo, Malachi Hall, Jeremiah Harris, Tyler Carrier, Eric Jacobs, and Brennan Addley have led the Highlanders to two of the top seasons (based on winning percentage) in the last 60 years, while combining for 4,000 points, 1,700 rebounds, and 750 assists. With emotion heavy in the air after an early layup for Eric Jacobs, whose season was unfortunately cut short due to injury, the Highlanders played with fire, mounting an early lead and defeating Wilson 99-63. With Jacobs acting as the vocal leader on the sidelines, the other five seniors led the charge for Cairn, leading the offense to the huge win. The star of the day was #33 Tyler Carrier. The senior guard came out with a purpose, knocking down a deep three early on, and staying hot the whole contest. Carrier's five threes led the Highlanders as he finished with 15 points on an incredible 5-8 from beyond the arc. Carrier's long-range prowess opened up the paint and the Highlanders capitalized as Addley (13 points), Harris (11 points), Hall (11 points), and Collazo (8 points) all played excellent games in front a packed Mason Activity Center.

While they celebrated today, the Highlanders looked ahead to the CSAC playoffs looming on the horizon. Cairn will host Rosemont College Wednesday night at 7:00 PM in the CSAC semifinal, a rematch of the CSAC Championship game held at Cairn one year ago. With momentum on their side, the Highlanders will seek to avenge their loss from last year and head to the CSAC Championship for the second year in a row. See you on Wednesday night Highlander faithful!
