Highlanders Win Back-And-Forth Affair Against Clarks Summit

CLARKS SUMMIT, PA- The Highlanders outlasted Clarks Summit University Wednesday night, enduring multiple injuries and foul trouble to win their 15th game of the season.

The Highlanders rolled in the first half, racking up 52 points and setting the stage for an easy win. However, foul trouble and a collision between Dashaun Cain and Julian Collazo made the night considerably more tense. While Collazo and Cain were thankfully okay- they were ruled out for the remainder of the game. When Jeremiah Harris fouled out a couple minutes later, closely followed by Justin Dean, the Highlanders were down four of their key players. As Cairn searched for a spark, the Defenders got hot from long range, canning three straight threes and taking a one point lead. Fortunately for the Highlanders, Jesse Rivera stepped up in a major way down the stretch. Rivera assisted a Malachi Hall three, finished an acrobatic layup, and made four free throws within the last five minutes to push Cairn onward to their 10th CSAC victory.

Cairn will host Wilson College Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM in their final regular season contest. Before tipoff, Cairn will honor the incredible careers of their 6 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
