CLARKS SUMMIT, PA- The Highlanders outlasted Clarks Summit University Wednesday night, enduring multiple injuries and foul trouble to win their 15
th game of the season.
Â
The Highlanders rolled in the first half, racking up 52 points and setting the stage for an easy win. However, foul trouble and a collision between
Dashaun Cain and
Julian Collazo made the night considerably more tense. While Collazo and Cain were thankfully okay- they were ruled out for the remainder of the game. When
Jeremiah Harris fouled out a couple minutes later, closely followed by
Justin Dean, the Highlanders were down four of their key players. As Cairn searched for a spark, the Defenders got hot from long range, canning three straight threes and taking a one point lead. Fortunately for the Highlanders,
Jesse Rivera stepped up in a major way down the stretch. Rivera assisted a
Malachi Hall three, finished an acrobatic layup, and made four free throws within the last five minutes to push Cairn onward to their 10
th CSAC victory.
Â
Cairn will host Wilson College Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM in their final regular season contest. Before tipoff, Cairn will honor the incredible careers of their 6 seniors in a pregame ceremony.
