Harris' 30 Not Enough in OT Against Cyclones

LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders hosted Centenary University in a battle of two of the CSAC's top teams. Despite a few top-notch individual performances, the Cyclones outlasted Cairn for an overtime win.

The Highlanders took a 38-44 lead into the half, thanks in large part to Jeremiah Harris who tallied 12 of the game's first 14 points. Harris and Malachi Hall led the Highlanders, making 9 threes between the two of them and keeping the Highlanders atop for much of the contest. Centenary and star point guard Chris Labelle battled back and the Cyclones took a one point lead with a minute to go. As time wound down, Harris took over once more, sizing up the defender and nailing a step back three to put the Highlanders ahead by two with just 50 seconds left. As the seconds rapidly ticked away, Labelle blazed down the floor and netted a game-tying layup as time expired. Harris started OT with two layups to keep the Highlanders ahead, but when the senior went down with an injury the Highlanders could not overcome the late injury. Cairn battled until the end but fell 99-104 when the final buzzer sounded.

Harris finished with 30 points, Malachi Hall notched 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists, while Julian Collazo finished with a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Cairn will host Clarks Summit University at 8:00 PM Wednesday night.
