LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders hosted the 14-5 Medgar Evers University Cougars, playing excellent volleyball and winning their final home match of the season behind a triple-double from senior Ryan Ludvik.
 
The Highlanders started off hot, leaping out to a 13-4 lead thanks to a myriad of kills from Ryan Ludvik, Scott Bassill, and Anton Deleon. The Cougars came back, but a five point run capped off by another kill from Bassill gave the Highlanders an insurmountable advantage and they took the first set 25-17. The Cougars battled back in the second set, scoring 6 of the final 8 points to take a 26-24 win and even the match at 1-apiece. The Highlanders found their form over the next two sets, utilizing excellent passing and a fine-tuned attack to take the next two sets with relative ease 25-20, 25-22.
 
The Highlanders stuffed the stat sheet as Ludvik finished with 18 kills, 21 assists, and 10 digs, Jon Simpson notched 26 assists, and Juston Wolgemuth (20 digs) and Ben Norton (12 digs) led the Highlanders defensively.
 
Cairn will wrap up their season this weekend at Keuka College with a tri-match against the Wolves and the College of Saint Elizabeth.
