LA PLUME, PA- The Highlanders defeated Keystone College 83-78 to stay in first place in the CSAC with a perfect 3-0 record.
The Highlanders started off slowly, falling behind 10-4 in front of the Keystone crowd. A jumper from newcomer
Brennan Addley kick started the Highlander offense, while
Josh Decker and
Julian Collazo each found their form to push the Highlanders ahead 24-17. The teams traded buckets over the rest of the half, with Collazo tallying 11 points and 8 rebounds in the first half to lead the Highlanders to a 39-37 lead.
Cairn started the second half on an absolute tear, playing stifling defense and slashing to the rim time and again on their way to a 15-0 run over the first four minutes of the second half. The Highlanders held onto their lead, leaning on a dominant second half offensive performance from
Jeremiah Harris and taking their third conference victory 83-78.
Harris tallied 19 of his team-high 22 points in the second half, while Collazo (14 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists) and
Malachi Hall (12 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists) each flirted with triple-doubles. Cairn hosts both Clarks Summit University (1/10) and Bryn Athyn College (1/12) in CSAC play this week.
