Match 2

Cairn battled it out with Penn State Behrend in their second match of the day. The Highlanders started off in great fashion, limiting the high-powered offense of PSU-Behrend with stellar blocking from Caleb Myers and Juston Wolgemuth, and relying on the poise of setter Ryan Ludvik to keep the opposition on their toes.  Second year player Collin Benjamin showed incredible flashes in the years third match, providing an excellent presence in the middle of the court. The first set came down to the wire with the Highlanders narrowly losing, 25-22. Perhaps showing a bit of fatigue from a long day of volleyball, the Highlanders dropped the next two sets and the match in rather quick fashion.

Sam Gabriels led the Highlanders with 11 digs, Benjamin tallied 5 kills and 3 blocks, and Ludvik dished out 12 assists.

The Highlanders will host Misericordia University January 30th at 7:00 PM.
