ROSEMONT, PA- The Highlanders put their 5 game CSAC winning streak on the line Wednesday night against Rosemont College. The Highlanders rode a dominant second half performance to improve to 11-6 overall and 6-0 in the CSAC.
The Highlanders started off slowly, struggling with the length and athleticism of the Ravens. Rosemont walled off the paint and slowed down the game, forcing the Highlanders trio of fleet-footed guards to work in the half court instead of on the break. The Ravens took a 3 point lead into the second half, but 8 straight points from
Julian Collazo and
Jordan Koczman, as well as a clutch three from
Josh Decker put the Highlanders back on top. Collazo hit another three, Brennan Adley finished a layup, and
Justin Dean hammered home his second dunk in consecutive games to stretch the Highlanders lead. Rosemont brought the game within reach, but two threes from
Malachi Hall put the game out of reach and Cairn coasted to their 6
th straight CSAC victory.
Hall finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds, Koczman notched 16 points and 8 rebounds, and Collazo chipped in across the board with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists.
The Highlanders get a rare midseason break, not playing again until 1/22 when they host Keystone College in yet another conference matchup.
