PHOENIXVILLE, PA- The Highlanders kept up their winning ways, taking their second straight victory against the Patriots of the University of Valley Forge.
Brendan Keller started the action in the 7
th minute, smashing a deflected ball past the keeper to give the Highlanders the lead for the first time. After a number of excellent chances, Cairn broke through once more in the 29
th minute courtesy of
Paul Franco. The senior captain has shown an excellent nose for goal of late and once more found his way to a bouncing ball that he slotted into the back of the net to give Cairn a 2-0 lead. Just six minutes later,
Isaac Morrison and
Brandon Hasko linked up to give the Highlanders a 3-0 lead. Morrison played a ball to Hasko who easily finished his second goal in as many games. With a 3-0 lead in the bag, senior
Jared Dodson added one more insurance when he fired an absolutely blistering shot into the back of the net from 25 yards out.
The Highlanders will seek to further their winning streak when they travel to Keystone College and begin CSAC play. Game time is slated for 1:00 PM.
