LANGHORNE, PA - On a rainy, overcast Thursday afternoon, the Highlanders hosted the Nittany Lions of Penn State Abington. The Nittany Lions got the better of the Highlanders, taking the non-conference game by a score of 9-1. Cairn's two hits came early in the game in the second inning as
Brett Marks would lead off with a double and come around to score on a single by Dan Bierc.Â
Ben Spadea started for the Highlanders, and threw 2 + innings.Â
Matt Trotman came in in relief and threw two scoreless innings.Â
Russ Hall would make his Highlander debut, and go two innings before Matt Meyers would come in to throw the final three innings. Wiped out after a grueling week of conference games the Highlanders four game win streak was unfortunately snapped, but the Highlanders will return to conference play on Saturday, hosting Cabrini in a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM.Â
