LANGHORNE, PA- The Highlanders defeated Wilson College Wednesday night, leading from wire-to-wire and taking their third straight victory.
Â
Cairn was thrilled to see the full-strength return of star junior
Malachi Hall to the starting lineup. Hall made his impact known from the jump, dishing out multiple assists and racing past the Phoenix defense time and again for fast break layups. The ramped up pace led to a plethora of clean looks for Highlander sharpshooter
Josh Decker, and the senior did not disappoint, canning four in the first half and contributing in a major way to the Highlanders 46-30 lead. Wilson, a great three point shooting team as well, got hot from beyond the arc to start the second half. However, the Highlanders weathered the storm and rode out the first half lead to their second CSAC win of the season.
Â
Hall finished one assist shy of a triple-double with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, while
Julian Collazo finished with a team-leading 18 points and 13 rebounds. Six Highlanders finished in double digits as
Jeremiah Harris notched 16, Decker added another three for 15, and
Jordan Koczman and
Justin Dean each finished with 12 points and 9 rebounds.
Â
Cairn will host the College of St. Elizabeth this Saturday at 3:00 PM in search of their fourth straight win.
