Langhorne, PA – Cairn University improved to 9-8 overall this season with a 3-1 win over Lancaster Bible College on Tuesday afternoon. 
John Burlaga pitched seven innings for the Highlanders and got the win, while 
Sam Dralle collected the save for pitching the last two. 
Joey Nieves-Markee and 
Brett Marks both went 2-for-4 in the game, while Marks had one RBI and Nieves-Markee scored one run. Six other Highlanders had one hit in the game with 
Chase Hunt collecting an RBI. 
Lancaster Bible scored their only run of the game off of a Josh Mayer double in the top of the seventh inning. Braden Elliot scored on the play and had one hit in the game. 
The Highlanders started out the scoring early on with two runs in the first inning. 
Joey Nieves-Markee led off with a single and stole second base. Nieves-Markee advanced to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch. 
Caleb Lang took a similar approach to the inning and singled to the outfield before stealing second base. Lang then scored on 
Chase Hunt's single up the middle. 
Cairn added their third run in the bottom of the fourth after 
Keith LeNoue reached on a walk and advanced to third base on an error. LeNoue was then hit home on 
Brett Marks' double to center field. 
Despite Lancaster Bible's 11 hits in the game, Cairn stranded eight of their runners on base to keep them off the board. Burlaga struck out three batters in his seven innings and did not walk any batters. 
Cairn will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Penn State Abington to take on the Nittany Lions.
