Langhorne, PA – The Highlanders earned two wins on Tuesday afternoon by defeating the University of Valley Forge 24-3 and 16-3. Cairn finished with 47 total hits across both games and dominated the games offensively.
Peter Feitsma and
Jacob Knox collected wins on the mound for the Highlanders with eight total strikeouts between them.
Cairn opened the first game with 11 runs in the first inning, which included triples from
Caleb Lang and
Daniel Morales, and a home run from
Kyle Wolfe.
Alejandro Fernandez led the team in game one by going 5-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored.
Caleb Lang led the hitting in the second game by going 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs scored, and two doubles.
Keith LeNoue also went 3-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and two runs scored.
With the wins, the Highlanders move back above .500 with a 16-14 overall record. The Patriots dropped to 1-25 overall this season with the losses. Cairn will next travel to Gwynedd Mercy University this Friday, April 22
nd, to start their series with the Griffins.
