Gwynedd Valley, PA - Cairn's women's soccer team were scorched for three goals in either half against a strong Gwynedd-Mercy side, losing 0-6.

The Griffins used two goals midway through the first half to open up a 2-0 lead at home before tallying a third with just 30 seconds left in the half. Gwynedd-Mercy goals in the 57th and 75th minute put the game out of reach at 5-0, but once again they scored in the final minute of the half, lifting the score to 6-0.
Meghan Bojanowski led the way with two goals and two assists. Cairn's
Morgan Swan made 11 saves on the night, doing her best to keep the Highlanders in the game and fading playoff chances.
Cairn falls to 4-11 and 3-5 in CSAC play. They return to action on Saturday, October 20, when they host Cabrini College at 12pm.
Gwynedd-Mercy improves to 7-7-2 overall and 4-2-2 in conference play.
