LANGHORNE, PA
- PBU nearly knocks off Lancaster Bible but fall at the last kick of the ball.

With just 15 seconds remaining, Lancaster Bible's Monica Horning put a one-time left footed shot in the upper right corner to give LBC a hard fought victory over the Crimson Eagles.

The goal came after PBU keeper Sara Poole made one of her many diving saves, in what many thought was a game headed to extra time. However, with time running out LBC was somehow able to get one last corner kick in before time expired. The Crimson Eagles defended the initial cross nicely, knocking it back out but the Chargers were able to put in one last-gasp attempt before time ran out. The ball was sent in and sat up nicely for Horning to volley the ball into the top of the net.

Before the last act drama, the two sides had played an entertaining 90 minutes. Both teams went into the half clinging to a 0-0 score line.

The Chargers, with their array of attacking threats, held a firm advantage in shots 30-8 and corners, 12-1, but it was the Performance-Of-The-Match from Sara Poole that seemed to steal the show.

Poole finished the game with an impressive 16 saves, and she was made to work for many of them.

There were two scores before the final drama though. 9 minutes after the second half restart, the Chargers thought they had finally grabbed the lead for good when Kristina Clairmont sent in a shot from the top of the box that found the back of the net. LBC's lead would last only 159 seconds.

Less than three minutes later, PBU freshman phenom Sarah Vogel scored her 2nd career goal off a cross from Rachel Brubaker, to tie the score at 1-1.

The game would remain knotted at 1-1 for the next half hour setting up the dramatic finale. Unfortunately on this day, it would go LBC's way.

PBU will now take on their other NCCAA East-Region rival in Baptist Bible College. The Crimson Eagles will travel up to Clarks Summit, Pa this Saturday. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:00pm.
