LANGHORNE, PA - Entering Wednesday, it had been four straight games and nearly three total weeks since the men's soccer team had found the back of the net.
The group's four game drought equated to 374 minutes of action since the squad had last tallied a goal, a number that marks the Crimson Eagles' longest scoring deficiency in over six years.
But on Wednesday, that all changed.
The soccer team pumped in four goals during a 4-1 triumph over Rosemont College, marking PBU's greatest offensive output of the year.
In PBU's final home contest of the season, fourth-year vet Phil Haas made his final regular season appearance in Langhorne a memorable one, notching two scores in the opening half to help the Crimson Eagles take a 2-0 lead into the break. Classmates Jeremy Dunham and Jake Miller provided assists in the period, helping Haas collect his team leading eighth and ninth goals of the season.
Crimson Eagle junior forward Mike Zimmerman got in the scoring column during the 60th minute of play and rookie Jeremiah Hockman tallied his first ever collegiate score late in the game to help PBU to their biggest scoring outburst of the year.
With just a single regular season contest left, the Crimson Eagles need to pick up a triumph against Immaculata University on Saturday as well as get some help around the league in order to have a shot at a CSAC playoff berth.
PBU will head to Immaculata, PA this weekend to go up against the Mighty Macs at 3:00 pm.
