Spencer Jacob

Director of Athletics Jay Butler and the Cairn University Athletic Department are excited to announce that Spencer Jacob has been named the 10th Head Men's Volleyball Coach in program history.

"I am excited to get started." Jacob said on being hired. "The men's team is self-motivated and hardworking and I am grateful to have this opportunity to coach such a great group of guys. We are ready to challenge ourselves to grow not only as a team, but as disciples for Christ."

Prior to Cairn, Jacob lived in Cambodia for four years where he was the Head Coach of the High School Boys Varsity Volleyball Team at Logos International School in Phnom Penh. In 2019, Jacob led Logos to an undefeated, 16-0 record, taking first place in the inner-city tournament and in the ASAC International Tournament hosted in Hanoi, Vietnam. In 2019, Jacob gained extra experience after his team was invited by a school in Bangkok, Thailand to join them at a camp and tournament at the University of Hawaii, where he was able to gain extensive coaching direction.

"We are thrilled to welcome Spencer to the Highlander Family." commented Cairn University Director of Athletics Jay Butler. "His passion for the game, international experience and desire to grow the men's volleyball program is evident. He will bring spiritual maturity to the sidelines and challenge our student-athletes to grow as young men."

Jacob inherits a team that won its first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Championship last season and finished with a 10-1 record.
