Hackettstown, NJ - Cairn Shutout the Cyclones in 3-0 Victory.

Cairn (1-1-0 / 0-0 United East) controlled the game early getting off a flurry of shots against the Cyclones defense. The Highlanders took the first  shots of the game all within the first 13 minutes of play, but failed to convert any of their chances. Centenary (0-2-0 / 0-0 Atlantic East) finally responded with a shot of their own in the 18th minute that missed high. In the 23rd minute Sophomore Ella Quince (Morrisville, PA / Morrisville) found the back of the net off an assist by Junior Josey Smith (Levittown, PA / Pennsbury). Just over 3 minutes later The Highlanders extended their lead when Smith scored a goal of her own to put Cairn up 2-0 over the Cyclones. In the 37th minute the Cyclones threatened to score with a shot on goal but the Highlander's senior Goalkeeper Rhian Erspamer (Valparaiso, IN / Victory Christian Academy) got the save to keep Centenary off the board. Cairn had one more true scoring chance in the first half, coming in the 41st minute when senior midfielder Gianna Manning (Newport News, VA / Page High School (AZ)) sent a shot towards the bottom right corner that was saved by the Cyclones keeper.

The Highlanders got off to another hot start in the second half, with Quince scoring her second goal of the game to give Cairn a 3-0 advantedge, Junior midfielder Juliana Condurso picked up the assist on Quince's second goal. Centenary came close to scoring a quick response, with the Cyclones sending a shot off the right post just minutes after the Highlanders scored.
