Langhorne, PA - Cairn Men's Soccer (2-1-1, 0-0 United East) won their third straight game after
defeating Penn State-Schuylkill (1-1, 0-0 PSUAC) 6-0.
Senior forward
Alijah Miller (Monroe, NC / Homeschool) scored two goals in the second straight
contest, this evening's two coming early in the first period (3', 14') to give the Highlanders a 2-0
lead out of the gate. The Highlander defense was strong once again, allowing 0 shots on goal
for the game. With the ball on Cairn's side of the pitch most of the evening, senior
Aaron Babyak
(Mechanicsburg, PA / Mechanicsburg) extended the lead to 3-0 at the end of the first period
with his first goal of the season (36').
Cairn would go on to score another 3 goals in the second period. Sophomore
Nathan Babyak
(Albertville, France / Mechanicsburg) struck first (56'), followed by
Aaron Babyak (60'). Miller
was done scoring, but assisted sophomore
Anthony Carabasi (Medford, NJ / Albright) for his
first goal in a Highlander uniform (65').
Cairn once again dominated the shot chart, out shooting Schuylkill 32-0 (15-0). Cairn Men's
Soccer (2-1-1, 0-0 United East) travels to Lebanon Valley College (2-1, 0-0 MACF) for a 4pm
kick-off this Saturday (9/12).
