Wilkes-Barre, PA - Cairn drops match to Wilkes. 

The Highlanders jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first set of the match against Wilkes (6-6 / 0-0 CVC). Wilkes took control of the middle portion of the match building a 19-15 lead over the Highlanders. Cairn (2-11 / 0-0 UNITED EAST) made a late push with a 4-0 run to tie the first set. Wilkes regained control down the stretch and took the first set 25-23. 

The second set started out close with an ace by senior setter Josh Adler ( Levittown, PA / Neshaminy High School) giving Cairn an 11-10 advantage. Wilkes went on a run building a 23-14 lead over the Highlanders before finishing the set 25-17. 

The third set was more of the same, with Wilkes building a lead with hot streak before letting Cairn close the gap, and Wilkes pushed the lead and claimed the set. 

Cairn will return to action Tuesday February 10th going on the road to play at Nuemann at 7 PM.
