LANGHORNE, PA – Men's Basketball won handily in their first contest of 2026, outpacing Penn State Lehigh Valley 108-51.
Cairn(10-4 / 2-0 UNITED EAST) started the game off hot scoring the first 10 points of the contest. Penn State Lehigh Valley(3-9 / 1-5 The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference) struggled to get any momentum going only making 38% of their shots in the first half.
After starting out on a 10-0 run the Highlanders began trading baskets with the Lehigh Valley Nittney Lions, but were able maintain the lead at 19-8 behind Graduate guard
Jaylon Simpson's (Atlanta, GA / Belmont Abbey) three 3-point baskets. The Highlanders stayed hot throughout the first half entering the break with a controlling 51-24 advantage.
The second half was more of the same from the Highlanders starting the second frame with 5 straight points, off a Simpson fast break layup and a 3-point jumper from by graduate guard
Chris Hill (Charlotte, NC / St. Augustine's University), stretching the lead out to 32 points. The second half turned into a 3-point barrage from the Highlanders, Cairn connected on 12 shots from beyond the arc after halftime.
The Highlanders kept the foot on the gas right to the very end, finishing the game on an 11-2 run capped off with a pair of Free Throws by Sophomore guard

Cairn will return to conference play on Wednesday when they will host the Seahawks of Saint Mary's College at 1 PM in the Mason Activity Center.
