Langhorne, PA - Cairn drops match to Drew in 3 sets.
Cairn (0-6 / 0-0 UNITED EAST) couldn't find their footing early against Drew (2-1 / 0-0 CVC) allowing the Rangers to take an early 3-0 lead. Cairn was able to push back and get within 1 point several times but were unable to get over the hump and claim the lead. Eventually Drew took control going on a 5-0 run and didn't look back claiming the first set 25-15. The second set saw Cairn hold their first lead of the match going up 2-1 but were unable to hold the advantage. It was once again hot streaks that gave Drew control over the set. A pair of 3-0 runs and a 4-0 run to cap off the set allowed Drew to take the second set 25-17. A 4-0 run to start the third set put Drew ahead early but the Highlanders were able to chip away and kills by freshman opposite

Caleb Cabrera (Wallington, NJ /Â Wallington) brought the Highlanders within 1 point. Another 4 point run by the Rangers kept Cairn trailing and Drew claimed the third and final set 25-23.
Cairn returns to action with a tri-match on Saturday January 24th against Eastern and Elizabethtwon hosted by Eastern. Â
