Langhorne, PA - Cairn falls 3-0 in second half of King's Tri-match.
Cairn (0-5 / 0-0 UNITED EAST) took an early 3-1 lead before losing control of the first set in their match against King's (1-1 / 0-0 MIDDLE ATLANTIC). King's had control over most of the set claiming it by a score of 25-16 after a service error by Cairn. The second set was much better for Cairn, the Highlanders took 4 straight points to lead King's 11-7 early in the set. This run by the Highlanders was fueled by junior outside hitter Sam Poirer (Nogyang, South Korea International Christian School Uijeongbu) who tallied 2 kills and senior setter
Josh Adler (Levittown, PA / Neshaminy High School) who collected two assists. King's bounced back from this deficit and took the set 25-23. King's kept that momentum going into the third set getting out to an early 10-2 lead. Cairn battled back with kills from freshman opposite
Nehemiah Clark (Ukarumpa, Papua New Guinea Ukarumpa International School) and junior outside hitter
Jesse Stuart (Chattanooga, TN / Chiang Rai International Christian School) but was ultimately unable to make up the difference and fell to King's losing 3-0.
