MAHWAH, NJ – Men's Soccer battled to a draw with Ramapo on Saturday evening, forcing the 2-2 stalemate with a late goal.
Cairn (0-1-2) took the first blow, scoring in the 18
th minute on junior midfielder
Braden Allen's (Dillsburg, PA / Heritage Christian) first career goal. The Roadrunners answered less than ten minutes later to tie the match as they held the Highlanders to two shots in the half.
Neither squad broke through the goalpost until the 78
th minute when Ramapo (2-1-1) took the lead. It would be sophomore midfielder
Emanuel Lazor (Midland Park, NJ / Eastern Christian) in a time crunch at the 86
th minute scoring to tie the match once again, assisted by junior forward
Alijah Miller (Monroe, NC / Homeschool). Ramapo would manage two shots in the closing minutes, one off target and the other saved, to force a 2-2 draw.
Allen and Lazor did the scoring for Cairn, with Miller picking up a point for the assist.
The Highlanders have one more on the road Wednesday at DelVal (7 p.m.) before returning home this weekend to take on Lebanon Valley.
