LANGHORNE, PA – Women's Soccer picked up their first victory of the season, shutting out Penn St. Mont Alto 4-0 with a hat trick by
Paige Noble.
Junior midfielder
Paige Noble (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ / Atlantic Christian) got the scoring started with an unassisted goal in the 20
th minute and scoring again six minutes later, assisted by sophomore forward
Juliana Condurso (Brick, NJ / Calvary Academy). After holding Penn St. Mont Alto (1-2) to a single shot in the first half, Cairn (1-2-1) had all the momentum heading into the last 45 minutes.
The Highlanders wasted little time to add to the lead out of the break with Noble continuing to fire away and score her third goal of the day, assisted by sophomore midfielder
Josey Smith (Levittown, PA / Pennsbury). Junior midfielder
Emily Brittin (Winslow, NJ / Pilgrim Academy) added the finishing touches with a goal in the 88th minute, assisted by junior midfielder
Gianna Manning (Newport News, VA / Virginia Commonwealth University).
Noble collected six points on the day in the form of three goals, Brittin adding the fourth, and Condurso, Manning, and Smith all being credited with assists. Senior goalkeeper
Elizabeth Cobb (Cortland, NY / Cortland Christian) and junior goalkeeper
Rhian Erspamer (Valparaiso, IN / Victory Christian) split the halves for a combined shutout with the latter collecting the only two Highlander saves on the evening.
The Highlanders will look to make it a winning streak as they host DelVal on Wednesday night for Camo Night at 7 p.m.
