TRENTON, NJ – Cairn Women's Cross Country got their season underway at the Blue & Gold Invitational, hosted by TCNJ, on Friday, placing fifth as a team with an individual podium performance and two personal bests.
In the Women's 2-mile, junior
Clarisse Hayden (Bangkok, Thailand / International Community School) placed on the podium in second, setting a new best for the 2-mile at 12:10.2 as she continues to dominate. Senior
AyliGrace Munro (Bar Harbor, ME / Mt. Desert Island) was next for the Highlanders in 18
th at 13:03.6, also a personal best. Junior
Clara Tylavsky (Des Moines, IA / Saydel) finished at 15:09.6 in her collegiate debut along with sophomores
Madelynne Davis (Philadelphia, PA / Calvary Christian Academy) and
Maszie Granz (Manchester, PA / Northeastern) both under twenty minutes.
Cairn placed fifth as a team.
The Highlanders race next on September 12 at the United East Preview Meet hosted by Penn St. Brandywine.
